Elijah the Great!

Yesterday I had an appointment for an adventure with Elijah. His imaginiation never ceases to amaze me. After getting dressed, he told his friend Rebecca that he was ready for his close-up! Within the space of an hour, Elijah was a carpenter, a photographer, a pirate, and a friend to Jacki Boy (his favorite cat friend), while also finding time for a quick tricycle ride, a little snack, and love for his Mommy. Two year-olds are very busy people!

Tomorrow's Memories of Yesterday's Thanksgiving

Funny how our days blend together when we don't take the time to record them. Yesterday we celebrated our blessings at my dad's house. We took the time that we often neglect to catch up with what's been going on in the lives of others in our family. Eli commented, "This is the best Thanksgiving I've ever had." while he ate is imaginary dinner as we waited for the real meal. After lunch, Dad took us out for a ride on his favorite birthday gift (a new Triumph motorcycle). It was a good day!

Time for Family

This past Sunday I took a trip to Lynchburg to photograph the growing Hannah family. I enjoy capturing the whole family and then breaking down into its individual elements for a more intimate interaction.

Waiting to Deliver

Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing Katie, who is nine months pregnant with her second son. These photographs will be a suprise for her husband at Christmas. What a sweet wife! Since he doesn't spend his time online, I'm safe to post a few of my favorites below.

Little Feet, Little Hands, Little Baby!

Phia's little miracle arrived early Thursday morning and I took a drive to Lynchburg on Sunday to meet and photograph the newest member of my extended family. Peyton was wide awake and curious during his first photo shoot! I'm still editing, but thought I'd post a sneak peek for the new mommy to look at after his 3:00 feeding! Congratulations Sophia! He's beautiful.

Six days and counting...

Uncle Sam wants you to know that you only have six days remaining to register if you want to vote in the upcoming presidential election. He's not here to tell you who to vote for. Just to remind you of the importance of taking the action. The right to vote is something we are incredibly lucky to be born with in the United States, and something we should not take lightly. Whether you've never registered, or if you've moved since the last election, you still have time. A Voter Registration Application is available for download at: http://www.sbe.virginia.gov/cms/Voter_Information/Registering_to_Vote/Index.html. The application is quick and easy, but must be postmarked no later than Monday, October 6th. Now get out there and make a difference!

Expecting a Miracle!

Last Saturday I had the opportunity to photograph maternity portraits for Sophia in the studio. She was excited to document the changes in her body as she counts down the final 5 weeks before her first child, Peyton, is born. I look forward to meeting him!
